Letter Writing

Letter writing formats and styles are important -- they create the first impression of you, the sender, and your message will be filtered through that impression. It is important that the expectations of the receiver be met by your letter through the application of appropriate form suitable for the content.
While there are some intricate styles and variations, today the tendency is toward simplification of formats. There are three basic business letter writing conventions that reflect the current North American conventions: full-belock, modified block, and indented modified block.
