Full-block

The identifying feature of a full-block style letter is the left justification of all structural parts of the letter. See full-block graphic.

 
 
Block

The identifying feature of the block style letter is the left justification of all structural parts of the letter except the dateline, complimentary close, and the signature line. The dateline is right-justified. The complimentary close and the signature line are typed to the right of the horizontal center of the page. See block letter graphic.

Semi-block

The identifying feature of the semi-block style letter is the left justification of the inside address and salutation and the indentation (five to ten spaces) of the first line of each paragraph.
